Stop the High-Rise

On Thursday 10th February 2022, Labour Councillors on Merton Council unanimously voted in favour of a new development facing Wimbledon Station that would be the tallest building in Wimbledon.

At almost 55m, this office and retail development will have a significant impact on the skyline and local built environment, providing yet more office space in a primarily residential area.

Given its height above 30m, this must now be referred to the Greater London Authority (GLA), including the Mayor of London, for approval. This gives us one opportunity to stop Labour from turning Wimbledon into the next Croydon.

We the undersigned ask the GLA to reject this planning application.
