Your Village Team
Thomas Barlow lives in Village ward with his fiancé. They moved to the area in 2015 and are delighted to call it home. Thomas works as a Senior Policy Adviser for a leading UK business membership organisation, working with government to create the right policy environment to enable the delivery of infrastructure. He previously worked for Members of Parliament and a Peer in the House of Lords. Locally, Thomas is a Governor at Dundonald Primary School and is a regular participant at Wimbledon Common Park Run.
Andrew lives in Wimbledon Park with his wife Janice and two grown-up children. He works as a contract compliance consultant in the retail sector and also tutors on business practice with the Open University. He has previously worked as a project manager and IT consultant. These roles capitalise on Andrew’s strong communication and analytical skills which he is putting to good use in scrutinising the work of Merton Council. Having lived in Merton for 27 years, Andrew stood to be a local councillor to help make a difference to the lives of fellow local residents.
Cllr Max Austin is the International Policy Director at Public Policy Projects and sits on the board of Tories for Climate Action, a group promoting Conservative, pro-market and pragmatic climate action and environmentalism. Max can often be found walking his dog on Wimbledon Common.
