Nigel Benbow
Nigel Benbow served as an Abbey Ward councillor from 2018 – 2022. As a Councillor he stood up to Clarion Housing and Merton Council over the High Path development, pushing for clarity and fairness for long standing residents. He is an experienced data scientist and financial risk modeller running his own business. Born with hearing loss and mild cerebral palsy, he is determined services work for everyone. He is standing again in May 2026 for safer streets and school routes, accountability, cleaner neighbourhoods and visible results.
Ellie Ioannou
Ellie Ioannou lives in the Ward and cares about improving South Wimbledon. She is a Big Four consultant and is currently training as a lawyer. Running, tennis and cafés/restaurants keep her rooted in Abbey and she is supportive of independent businesses and public spaces.If elected in May 2026, she’ll push for cleaner, brighter streets, better lighting, safer routes and junctions, support for local traders.
Cleon Wilson
Cleon Wilson is a forensic data analyst. Born in Jamaica, he helped his father in local politics and community work, learning responsibility and persistence. He left at 18 to attend university in the United States, met his wife, and made Wimbledon his home in 2022. If elected, he will back local businesses, protect and improve green spaces, push for cleaner streets, and demand updates when projects or services slip—visible, fair and focused on delivery.
