Dear Environment Agency,

Please see our consultation response below:

Merton Conservatives oppose Viridor's application to increase the amount of waste it burns. Viridor have already breached theĀ Volatile Organic Compound regulations 40 times this year. Allowing the application will mean the incinerator burns more waste from outside of the area as well as increased congestion and traffic concerns. Additional arisings should be transferred to external equivalent facilities outside Merton and the South London waste partnership boroughs.
