Merton Trees Killed

Merton Conservatives Campaign to Save Our Trees

It has never been more important to live in a green borough, and yet despite this Merton's Labour-led Council have begun a campaign of deforestation around Merton. Across the Borough, they have cut down more than 200 mature trees with plans for more to go.

This is not a sensible policy, and it will immeasurably harm both our community and our environment as habitats for animals, and insects are lost.

We have been campaigning to save trees across Merton, including at the Mitcham Bridge development where the Council needlessly removed 23 trees despite fierce local opposition.

Councillor David Dean and our team promise to do everything we can to ensure that Merton remains green.
