Village - Cllr Najeeb Latif

Shadow Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Sustainability

Najeeb lives in Wimbledon with his wife and works as a Chartered Civil Engineer. He has been a Village Councillor since 2014. As a councillor, Najeeb has been successful in forming the Village High Street Group which focuses on improving the business and street scene of the Village High Street and is currently Vice Chairman of the Planning Committee.  He is passionate about better planning and has also drawn on his professional background to help Village residents better understand complex basement developments. Najeeb’s priority is to continue the work of the Village High Street Group and improve the Village, by attracting funding through Crowdfunding, Grants and support from the AELTC and Merton Council.

Omar has lived in Raynes Park his entire life. Having grown up and gone to school here, he understands the issues facing families in Raynes Park. Omar graduated from Kingston University with a degree in Accounting & Finance and now works for a mid-size firm specialising in tax.
