Spokesperson for Health and Air Quality

Nigel has lived in South Wimbledon for fifteen years.  After working in insurance Lloyd's market, he set up his own business developing financial models that analyses the ForEx trading markets.  He has a BSc (Hons) from Hertfordshire University.

Nigel suffers from hearing loss and has mild cerebral palsy, which has just made him more determined.  He is passionate about improving the environment of South Wimbledon and the lives of local residents.  He has been closely involved with the campaign to Save Merton Hall from demolition, and the South Wimbledon Enhancement Plan group.  

As a Councillor, he is continuing to work tirelessly and aims to use his own life experiences to help improve the lives of our more vulnerable residents.

Cllr Nigel Benbow - New Secondary School in Air-Pollution Hotspot

I was staggered to observe the planning committee meeting on Thursday 15th Nov, where the 6 Labour Councillors voted for a new secondary school in the High Path Estate in South Wimbledon, despite vocal and well-founded concerns from residents and myself as ward Councillor.

Hayley was born in Blackpool and moved to London after attaining a degree in Business. She is married, has an 8 year old daughter and has lived in Wimbledon since 2008.
