We are writing to advise you that Merton Council have submitted an application for a premises licence for the entirety of Morden Park which would operate for 365 days of the year and allow the sale of alcohol from 9am up to 11pm Mon-Sat and 10.30pm on Sundays.
We have concerns that the potential for regular events of a maximum of 14,999 attendees in Morden Park, combined with the licence to serve alcohol, risks unacceptable disturbance to Cannon Hill residents. We are calling on the Council to rethink their plans.
The council is inviting residents to a community meeting about the proposed changes in the Council Chamber at the Merton Civic Centre on Thursday April 3 at 6pm, where you can ask questions.Should you wish to make representations, you can do so by midnight on the 3rd of April 2025 via email to [email protected] or in writing to Licensing section, London Borough of Merton, Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX.
